Using the lateset version 3.8.3.2965. Supposed to be preactivated but says it cannot connect to license server. Not sure what to do with the hosts_exception.jpg file either as it doesn’t copy to the install directory. Can you specify the procedure for installation/activation?

There is a problem with this version you’ve posted. It works for a day or two then reverts into a trial version. My host file is edited so it can’t check the servers.

Hello DJ U4ic, fo to your main drive – C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc, there is file named host without any extension, open this file using notepad, use administrator right, add these lines below the last line

0.0.0.0 keystone.mwbsys.com
0.0.0.0 telemetry.malwarebytes.com
0.0.0.0 serius.mwbsys.com

Save the host file, thats all there is to it, make sure the host file does not have any extension when saved. Thank you very much

-Go offline before installing (Important)

-Disconnect from the internet. Uninstall any previous malwarebytes installations first
-Both of the executable files install the app and block the malwarebytes activation servers in the hosts file
-If you wanna block them manually add these to your host file

Max, thanks for all you do. I’m having a problem with Malwarebytes reverting back to the free version after a few day. I have to uninstall it and run the exe file again to get it to premium again. I’ve read the notes. -Go offline before installing (Important)

How do I manually add these to my host file? Not sure what that means. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again for everything.

Please disregard my previous message. I just removed Malwarebytes and reinstalled JDownloader. I then reinstalled Malwarebytes and checked JDownloader if it would open and it did. However, a notice flashed on my screen that Malwarebytes has a new version 3.3.1.2183.

Remember 9 days ago, I sent you a response stating on my first try installing the program in my desktop didn’t work but it worked on the second try. Max, this was working great since February, and now it won’t do updates, The hosts file blocks out Malwarebytes, so the pro version works, but Malwarebytes figured that out, and now it won’t update with the hosts file blocking their server.
